Thursday
Little Chute (6-1, 5-0; D4 #6) at Luxemburg-Casco (7-0, 5-0; D3 #6) - First place and a guaranteed share of the North Eastern Conference title is on the line in this one, as both teams enter 5-0 in league play. The race isn’t completely settled, however, as Luxemburg-Casco still has D4 eighth-ranked Freedom on the schedule in Week 9.
Fox Valley Lutheran (5-2, 3-2; UR) at Winneconne (7-0, 5-0; D4 #2) - After dropping two straight, Fox Valley Lutheran got back on track with a shutout of New London last week, but now has to face unbeaten league-leading Winneconne, who is trying to keep things rolling with eyes on a special season culminating in Madison.

All game times 7 pm unless otherwise noted.
Madison/Southwest
Edgewood (7-0, 5-0; D3 #5) at Mount Horeb/Barneveld (6-1, 5-0; D3 #4) - A top five showdown in the Badger-Small, with both teams entering unbeaten in the league standings to this point. Of additional note, Edgewood quarterback Gannon Bagstad came up through the Mount Horeb youth program before enrolling at Edgewood in high school.
New Glarus (6-1, 4-1; D5 #9) at River Valley (6-1, 5-0; D5 #8) - New Glarus suffered its first defeat of the season last week against Platteville, which means River Valley sits atop the Southwest Wisconsin Conference standings. the Blackhawks can wrap up at least a share of the league title with a win, and they face a struggling Dodgeville program next week. A New Glarus win would force a two- or three-way tie atop the standings heading into the final week.
Milton (6-1, 4-1; UR) at Sun Prairie East (4-3, 3-2; UR) - Sun Prairie East has dropped two straight games and is looking to get back on track to improve their playoff standings. Milton is trying to hang around the Badger-Large standings, and with a win would set up a chance to get a share of the league title against unbeaten Waunakee next week.
Milwaukee/Southeast
Hamilton (6-1, 4-1; D1 #7) at Arrowhead (6-1, 4-1; D1 #4) - This Greater Metro/Classic Eight crossover pits two of the top teams in the state, each ranked in the top ten of the latest Bound Wisconsin Division 1 Coaches Poll. A possible number one seed is on the line in addition to the conference bragging rights.
Slinger (6-1, 5-0; D2 #6) at Homestead (7-0, 5-0; D2 #3) - A huge one in the North Shore Conference, with the winner taking control of the league heading into the final week of the season. Last year, Slinger beat Homestead twice by a total of four points en route to a state title.
Brookfield East (5-2, 3-2; UR) at Marquette (4-3, 4-1; UR) - Marquette has rebounded from a rough 0-2 start while Brookfield East is looking to continue some positive momentum. Certainly playoff positioning is a big part of this one.
Fox Valley
Bay Port (6-1, 5-0; D1 #8) at West De Pere (7-0, 5-0; D2 #2) - The FRCC-North game that everyone has been waiting for, with the league title likely on the line. Last year, West De Pere won 45-43 in an instant classic, rallying from 35-21 fourth quarter deficit. The winner of this one is very likely to receive a number one seed in their respective division.
Sheboygan North (5-2, 3-2; UR) at Oshkosh North (7-0, 5-0; D2 #7) - Sheboygan North was upset by Green Bay East last week, and with a very weak schedule, likely needs to win one of its final two games to get in the playoffs and avoid missing the postseason despite a winning overall record.
Kimberly (5-2, 4-1; D1 #9) at Kaukauna (3-4, 3-2; UR) - Kimberly fell to Neenah last week, marking the first time in 20 years that the Papermakers have lost two regular season games. They’ll try ot rebound against Kaukauna, who is having its own struggles this season and could use a signature win to help its playoff chances and seeding.
Winnebago Lutheran (4-3, 4-1; UR) at Lomira (6-1, 4-1; D6 #7) - WLA has won four straight games after a 0-3 start, and will try to keep things rolling this week against defending Division 6 champion Lomira, who can set up a showdown with Mayville next week for a share of the league crown with a win this week.
Hilbert (6-1, 4-1; D7 #9) at Manitowoc Lutheran (7-0, 5-0; D6 #4) - Manitowoc Lutheran has been impressive and controls the Big East Conference right now, but has tough closing games against HIlbert and Reedsville as they try to wrap up the league title.
North Central
Stratford (5-2, 5-0; D5 #5) at Amherst (7-0, 5-0; D5 #2) - Top five teams in Division 5. The CWC-Large title on the line. Playoff seeding implications. There’s a lot at stake in this huge central Wisconsin matchup between two of the state’s top powers over the last dozen years (and beyond for Stratford). Stratford beat Amherst twice last year, once in the regular season and once in the playoffs, en route to the Division 5 state title.
D.C. Everest (4-3, 4-1; UR) at Stevens Point (5-2, 3-2; UR) - For WIAA purposes the crossover games these WVC teams play in Weeks 3-9 against Big Rivers teams counts in standings, but for internal Wisconsin Valley purposes, they don’t. That means D.C. Everest can all but wrap up the league championship, as they are 4-0 for internal WVC purposes, while Stevens Point comes in at 3-1.
Merrill (5-2, 4-1; UR) at Tomahawk (6-1, 4-1; D4 #6) - Two of the three teams currently tied for first place in the Great Northern Conference meet up in this one, with the winner doing no worse than heading into Week 9 with a chance to secure at least a share of the league crown. Merrill has won four straight since an opening league loss to Mosinee, while Tomahawk also fell to the Indians a couple weeks ago.
Eau Claire/Northwest
Osceola (6-1, 5-0; UR) at Baldwin-Woodville (7-0, 5-0; D4 #3) - Osceola has won some tight games to remain unbeaten in the Middle Border Conference, while Baldwin-Woodville is coming off its closest game of the season, a 40-38 win over Altoona.
La Crosse Central (5-2, 5-0; UR) at Holmen (7-0, 5-0; D2 #4) - Since losing its two non-conference games, La Crosse Central has come roaring back, winning five straight. The Riverhawks take on Holmen this week with both teams undefeated in league play. It is a huge showdown for control of the Mississippi Valley Conference.
West Salem (6-1, 5-0; D4 #7) at Aquinas (7-0, 5-0; D4 #1) - The Coulee Conference title is on the line in this showdown of ranked Division 4 squads. Last year Aquinas rallied from a fourth quarter deficit to win 20-18. Aquinas averages 181 rushing yards per game but has no individual player with 200 yards on the season.
Menomonie (4-3, 2-3; UR) at River Falls (6-1, 4-1; D2 #5) - Back-to-back impressive wins over Hudson and Rice Lake have River Falls in a good spot, as the Wildcats are currently tied with both those schools atop the Big Rivers standings. They’re looking to stay there against a Menomonie team still trying to find a signature win that will help their playoff chances.
