BOUND WISCONSIN LEVEL 2 FOOTBALL TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Cashton Eagles
Cashton was 6-3 during the regular season, but all three defeats were competitive contests. Still, not many expected the Eagles to go on the road and knock off top-seed and undefeated Black Hawk/Warren 34-28 on Friday night. Cashton was out-gained 376-232 in the game but made enough plays to get the job done. Quarterback Drew Butzler accounted for four touchdowns, including three short rushing scores.

Coleman Cougars
Coleman went on the road and defeated second-seeded Roncalli 12-7 on Friday night. It was a hard-fought defensive battle, but Coleman’s 220 rushing yards helped the Cougars to victory. They advance to take on undefeated top seed Kenosha St. Joseph.

Monona Grove Silver Eagles
Monona Grove advanced to Level 3 for the first time since 2018, dispatching Germantown 28-14 behind a strong defensive effort. The Silver Eagles forced three turnovers and recorded seven sacks - 4.5 by Nick Gallagher and 2.5 from Deangelo Clay. The duo of Tremayne Habeck and Makai Fowler combined for 198 rushing yards.

Oshkosh North Spartans
Last week, Oshkosh North won its first playoff game since 2013, and the Spartans showed they aren’t settling for that, defeating New Richmond 42-36 to advance to the sectional finals. The offense was clicking on all cylinders, as senior quarterback Bryce Ott completed 14-of-19 passes for 257 yards and four touchdowns and the ground game put up 193 yards as well.

Pewaukee Pirates
Pewaukee held on for a 24-21 victory over Onalaska on Friday night, which wasn’t settled until an Onalaska fourth down pass was caught just out of the back of the end zone. The Pirates earned their second straight road playoff win, with Omar Cherrington rushing for 104 yards and a touchdown.
