BOUND WISCONSIN LEVEL 3 FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Bryer Burkhart, Northwestern
Northwestern hammered fellow unbeaten Grantsburg 44-16 in a highly anticipated Division 5 game on Friday night, advancing to the state semi-finals for a second consecutive season. Senior running back Bryer Burkhart led a strong rushing attack with 16 carries for 200 yards and a touchdown.

Bode Falkner, Mondovi
Mondovi lost a heartbreaker on a Hail Mary to Regis earlier this year, but the Buffaloes exacted some revenge, taking down the Ramblers 35-28 in another outstanding ballgame. Bode Falkner provided the bulk of the offense for Mondovi, completing 15-of-19 passes for 196 yards and a touchdown, adding a team-high 127 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries as well. He also recorded seven tackles on defense.

Bryson Hoeffler, Muskego
Muskego took advantage of some Badger mistakes to score a 20-13 victory on Friday night in a much-watched Division 1 playoff game. Sophomore running back Bryson Hoeffler had an outstanding performance, rushing 23 times for 196 yards and a touchdown for the Warriors.

Parker Kujak, Cochrane-Fountain City
It was a pair of undefeated teams squaring off in Cochrane-Fountain City on Friday night, and the host Pirates came out on top in a 35-14 victory. Junior quarterback Parker Kujak completed nine-of-11 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns, hitting on a number of big plays. Kujak added four tackles and an interception on defense as well.

Jack Nelson, Grafton
Grafton stayed undefeated and advanced to the state semi-finals with a 28-7 victory over Plymouth in a Division 3 playoff game on Friday night. The Black Hawks put up 542 yards of offense, including a big rushing performance from junior running back Jack Nelson, who carried the ball 25 times for 291 yards and three touchdowns.

Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
