While Notre Dame’s hopes of repeating as state champions, this time in Division 2, came up short in Friday’s state title loss to West De Pere, it proved to be a record-setting day for junior running back Kingston Allen.
With 231 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 43 carries, Allen finished the 2025 season with 357 carries for 3,436 yards and 57 rushing touchdowns.
His 3,436 rushing yards sets a new state record, eclipsing the previous mark of 3,422 yards set by Kenosha St. Joseph’s Adrian Davis in 2001. Allen’s 57 rushing touchdowns are also a new state record.
Allen ran for 477 yards and eight touchdowns in the Tritons’ first playoff game, then followed it up with 509 yards and seven scores in Level 2, as he holds the number two and number four single-game rushing performances in state history.
In five playoff games, Allen ran for 1,741 yards and 21 touchdowns. Just his playoff totals would have put him 22nd in the state this season in rushing yards and 34th in rushing touchdowns.
