Monday, February 2

Another top non-conference game for small schools, this one pits a Cloverbelt squad with a Marawood. Marathon is the only team in the state to have locked up a conference title already, and outside of a loss to ranked Division 3 Mosinee, the Red Raiders have been absolutely dominant. Columbus Catholic has looked equally impressive, with losses coming to larger or ranked schools.

Two of the best teams in Division 4 will square off on a Monday night in February. Kewaunee comes into this one as one of the four remaining undefeated teams in the state. The Storm is winning games by 25 points per contest, and has cruised in most matchups. Bonduel has gone 2-2 in its last four games after starting the season 12-0, with tight losses to Brillion and Manitowoc Lutheran.

Stevens Point takes the trek to Waunakee on Monday to square off with a talented Warriors squad in a challenging non-conference matchup. Both squads are balanced and rely more on the defensive side of things as opposed to an offensive outburst. Both of these programs are well-coached, have good culture, and are competitive annually on the hardwood.

Tuesday, February 3

Port has been the dominant team in the newly formed Glacier Trails conference this season, having gone 7-0 through the first half of league play, including a 16-point win over the Chargers back in December. Kettle Moraine Lutheran is one of two teams that is two games back in the standings, and a loss on Tuesday would all but eliminate the team from contention.

These are two of the three teams vying for the league crown in the Big Eight this season, as they are tied with Middleton in the standings with just one league loss. The first matchup between these two was a 17-point victory by Verona, which also happens to be the only loss for Memorial on the season. The games between these two programs are always must-see when both squads are as good as they have been the past few seasons.

In a Heart O’North conference that has four teams with two losses or less, this one has huge implications on the league title. These two squads are the only ones with just one loss in league play. Northwestern won the first meeting by 20 points by forcing 24 Comet turnovers and winning the rebounding battle 47-30.

A marquee non-conference matchup with ranked teams in Division 3 make this one a game to watch int he northeastern part of the state. Seymour is one of the few undefeated teams left in the state and has taken down each challenge as they come. Mosinee has rattled off nine straight wins including handing Marathon its first loss a few weeks ago. Can Coach Lindsey and company do the same on Tuesday night?

At this point in the season, both of these squads are playing well, but looking to hit their stride into the playoffs in a month. Whitefish Bay has been impressive with wins over Homestead, Beaver Dam, and Nicolet over the past few weeks. Tosa West continues to grind in the Greater Metro, but this non-conference game is just another challenge. The individual talent will be on full display in this one as well.
