Caleb Arcand, Clear Lake, junior
Arcand joined the 1,000 point club on Monday night in Clear Lake’s 83-57 win over Plum City/Elmwood.
Drew Aschliman, Mineral Point, senior
Ashliman was efficient and nearly unstoppable on the offensive end in Mineral Point’s 73-52 win over Marshall. The senior wing that excels at both ends of the basketball court finished with 31 points on 12 of 15 shooting from the floor and added 10 rebounds in the Pointers victory.
Boscobel
The Bulldogs have not fared well against the Cubans of Cuba City over the last 60 years in boys hoops. Coming into the game on Monday night, Boscobel had won just one time since 1964 on the hardwood against Cuba City. Make it two times as of that night as Boscobel pulled off a 56-54 victory over its SWAL foe.
Brandon Davis, River Ridge, senior
Being from the southwest part of the state it feels like Davis has been at River Ridge for longer than four years. That’s a testament to the impact he has had with the Timberwolves over the last four seasons. Monday he joined the 1,000 point club as he tallied 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists in a 61-56 loss to Iowa-Grant. Davis has already established himself as the program’s all-time leader in assists and steals.
Jake Farley, Saint Thomas Aquinas, junior
Farley has been putting up triple-doubles at a high rate this season, and tallied one more on Monday night. In a 46-35 win over Gillett, the junior finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 steals.
Cash Farrell, Laconia, Senior
Farrell has been back for a few weeks with Laconia after sitting out the beginning of the season with an injury. His return has been a huge boost for Dylan Wurtz’ group as Laconia has gone 4-0 in the games he has played. Monday night Farrell poured in 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists in a 64-32 victory over Markesan.
Reed Fleischmann, Colby, senior
Fleishmann had a career game on a night when Colby needed it to survive Athens 83-81. The senior finished with 31 points in the win, but stuffed the stat sheet with 13 rebounds, 2 assists while adding 2 steals and 3 blocks on the defensive side.
Wesley Hecker, Manitowoc Lutheran, senior
Hecker and Manitowoc Lutheran picked up a noteworthy 63-60 non-conference win over a very good Bonduel squad on Monday night. The senior finished with 25 points while connecting on 7 of 9 shots from deep to lead the Lancers to victory.

The duo of Lomas and Millin both had double-doubles as the Hornets knocked off Brookwood 72-61. Lomas finished with 20 points and 19 rebounds while Millin added 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Caleb Springer, Hayward, junior
Springer set a school record as Hayward scored a 99-91 win over Saint Croix Falls. That output was a school record for points scored in a game for the Hurricanes. Springer had a program record 16 assists in the victory, adding eight points and nine rebounds.

Bartl became the second member in as many seasons to join the 1,000 point club for University School as the Wildcats fell to Lake Country Lutheran 61-51.
Quinn Buscher, Saint Thomas More, senior
Buscher had a game that illustrates how impactful a player can be without scoring in bulk on the basketball court. In an 86-80 win over Kenosha St. Joseph, the senior scored just nine points. However, he tallied 13 rebounds and 3 assists while adding four steals and 6 blocks on the defensive side of the ball. I can imagine his impact was felt at a high clip in this one, despite the low scoring output.
Greater Metro Madness
It was pure madness in the Greater Metro on Tuesday night as the standings became even more congested. Marquette won 63-58 over the top team in the league Brookfield East. Also Menomonee Falls had been on a tear of late and earlier in the year beat West Allis Hale by 40 points. Tuesday night Hale got its first league win in a 78-73 upset. As it stands, four teams are within one game of the lead in the standings while teams like Menomonee Falls and Marquette are proving to be spoilers.
Cooper Foeckler, Franklin, freshman
Foeckler has stepped up in a huge way for Franklin as this season progresses and Tuesday night he was nearly unconscious from deep. The freshman guard poured in a high of 37 points in a 96-50 victory over Racine Horlick. In doing so he knocked down nine three-point shots, which is a new school record.
Maddix Gulseth, Roncalli, junior
Gulseth was equally on fire on Tuesday night as Roncalli put up an 88-48 win over New Holstein. One of the better scorers in the EWC, Gulseth had 46 points for the Jets while connecting on nine of fourteen from beyond the arc.
Andrew Hoeser, Neillsville, senior
Hoeser has had a great senior year and on Tuesday night he stepped up his game even more leading Neillsville to a 56-54 win over Colby. The big man had 24 points and added 15 rebounds and 6 assists for the Warriors. Defensively he stayed active, tallying four steals.
Azon Juarez-Quinn, Greenfield, senior
Juarez-Quinn poured it on though it was not near enough as Greenfield fell 87-69 to Brown Deer. The senior wing scored 41 points in the loss.
Cal Loose, Port Washington, senior
Loose has been one of the biggest catalysts for a Port Washington team that is 14-1 on the year. Tuesday they beat Messmer 88-66 and Loose finished with 15 points and 8 assists. In doing so, the senior guard joined the 1,000 point club.
Easton Lurvey, Three Lakes, sophomore
Lurvey poured in a career high 34 points as Three Lakes blew out Goodman/Pembine 83-47. The sophomore added nine rebounds and seven assists, turning defense into offense for the Bluejays.
Vedder MacTaggert, Marshfield, senior
MacTaggert etched his name into the Marshfield record books on Tuesday in a 101-52 throttling of Merrill. The senior guard was the best shooter on a night where there was plenty of hot shooters around the state. MacTaggert finished with 33 points in the victory, but most impressively he buried 10 triples in the win, a new school record. He did so on just 13 attempts.
Levi Nottling, Watertown Luther Prep, junior
Nottling had a career high scoring the ball as Luther Prep eked out a 71-70 win over Winnebago Lutheran. The lanky junior wing scored 30 points in the Phoenix victory, a new high in terms of scoring.
Tyler Podoll, Franklin
As a record was broken on Thursday night for Podoll’s squad in the victory over Horlick, the long-time head coach hit a career milestone in his coaching tenure. The Sabers win was number 250 for Podoll in his varsity coaching career.
Racine Lutheran 46, Racine St. Catherine’s 44
This matchup lived up to the hype as it was a physical, well-defended, and intense matchup. Lutheran came out on top thanks in large part to a pair of free throws made by senior Sam Pitrof, who finished with 16 points for the Crusaders.
Russell Polkoski, Colfax, sophomore
Pulkoski dominated the competition in Viking’s 87-68 win over Plum City/Elmwood. The sophomore finished with a career high 35 points in the victory, while recording a double-double by adding 11 rebounds.
Bohdan Schmidt, Pulaski, junior
Pulaski scored a big upset win over West De Pere on Tuesday night and Schmidt was a huge reason why. The junior balled out as he poured in 31 points for the Red Raiders in the 52-48 upset victory.
Theo Traeder, Lodi, senior
Traeder joined the 1,000 point club as Lodi took home a 78-35 win over Portage.
Wauwatosa West 90, Germantown 81
This game had plenty of great individual performances that all deserved mention. For Germantown, Cahlil Jones had a game high 39 points.

Wollin had a double-double with his fifth and final rebound being the most important in the L-Cats 66-64 win over Turner. The junior point-forward finished the game with 18 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds. As time expired, Wollin got to the front of the rim off a teammate’s missed shot and laid in a put-back at the buzzer to win it for Lake Mills.

Dodgeville 77, Lancaster 65
Dodgeville handed Lancaster its first conference loss of the season in the SWC on Thursday night, but the biggest storyline that came of this game was a pair of opponents joining the 1,000 point club in the same game. For Lancaster, Zach Hermsen scored 26 points and joined teammate Taylor Williams in the club.
