
Notre Dame’s Kingston Allen and West De Pere’s Patrick Greisen wrote their names all over the record books this year
The 2025 high school football season was another one for the record books, as a number of players and teams etched their names in history.
Kevin Patrowsky keeps the State Record Book for the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association and has provided an updated 60-page document that is chock full of great information. Below are some of the noteworthy additions to the Record Book from 2025.
2025 Highlighted Additions to 11-Player State Record Book
Passing Updates
West De Pere senior Patrick Greisen threw for 3,864 yards, which is third in state history.
Delavan-Darien junior Quintin Arizola threw for 3,223 yards, which is 21st.
Greisen threw 49 touchdowns, which is tied for third (with himself in 2024).
Greisen finished his career with 7,990 passing yards, which is sixth in state history.
Greisen’s 102 passing touchdowns is a new state record.
Rushing Updates
Notre Dame junior Kingston Allen ran for 509 yards in a Level 2 playoff game, which is second all-time. Allen ran for 477 yards in Level 1, which is fourth.
Reedsburg senior Will Mikonowicz ran for 498 yards in a Level 1 playoff game against Waterford, which is third all-time.
Spencer/Columbus Catholic’s Jack Hoeper ran for 441 yards, which is tied for 13th.
Ripon’s Eric Cumber ran for 440 yards in a game, which is 15th all-time.
Notre Dame junior Kingston Allen set a new single-season rushing record with 3,436 yards, despite missing a game early in the season.
Allen ran for 57 touchdowns, shattering the previous record of 47.
Receiving Updates
Delavan-Darien junior Kaden Garbe had 1,324 receiving yards on the year, which is 19th.
Scoring Updates
Notre Dame junior Kingston Allen set a new single-season scoring record with 350 points (58 touchdowns, one 2-point conversion).
Reedsburg senior Will Mikonowicz scored 292 points, which is ninth.
Northwestern’s Gage Nollet accounted for six, two-point conversions in a game, setting a new state record.
Baldwin-Woodville’s Dane Veenendall accounted for 30, two-point conversions on the year, setting a new state record.
Kicking Updates
Westosha Central kicker Carter Kiementzos made a 55-yard field goal, which is tied for 13th.
Arrowhead kicker Cam DeBoer made 16 field goals, which ties the state record for a single season.
Notre Dame kicker Michael Witczak made 80 extra points, which is fourth in state history.
Witczak accounted for 86 points as a kicker, which is tied for 15th.
Kenosha St. Joseph kicker Andreas Gamez finished his career with 176 made extra points, which is
Punting Updates
Whitnall senior Tanner Effertz averaged 45.6 yards per punt, which is good for sixth all-time.
Return Updates
Brookfield Central’s Devin Davis accumulated 772 kick return yards, which is tied for second.
Kenosha St. Joseph junior Christopher Kenesie had 584 punt return yards, which is fourth all-time.
Milwaukee King’s Simonique Carter had five punt return touchdowns, which is tied for third.
Reedsburg’s Will Mikonowicz and Cochrane-Fountain City’s Tye Popp had four punt return touchdowns, which is tied for fifth.
Defense Updates
Grafton senior Max Glab set a new state record with 10 tackles for loss in a single game.
Waunakee senior McCoy Smith had 44 tackles for loss on the season, tying for second on the state’s all-time list.
Hartford’s Ayden Grulke returned a fumble 99 yards for a touchdown, which is believed to be a state record.
Belleville’s Marcus Hebgen tied a known state record with four forced fumbles in a game.
Palmyra-Eagle’s Justin Thomas tied a record with three blocked kicks in a game; two punts and one extra point.
Two Rivers’ Max Matthias had 90 career tackles for loss, which is second all-time.
Waunakee’s McCoy Smith had 88 career tackles for loss, which is third all-time.
Team Updates
Milwaukee Hamilton had 729 yards of offense in a win over Milwaukee Riverside, which is fourth-most in state history.

Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
