Bound Wisconsin Basketball Player of the Week - Feb. 16-22

Izabel Durst, Barneveld GBB
Durst scored a pair of impressive wins last week, led by senior Izabel Durst. The Eagles took down Darlington 54-47, as Durst scored 26 points with eight rebounds and seven assists. They’d close the regular season with a 59-56 win over D5 #3 Argyle/Pecatonica, as Durst scored 33 points for the Eagles.


Max Jones, West Allis Central BBB
Junior Max Jones has helped pick up the slack after an injury to star senior Yusef Gray, Jr. The Bulldogs defeated Greenfield 104-66 last week, with Jones scoring 24 points and adding nine rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Jones erupted for 35 points with 15 rebounds and five assists in a 98-69 win over Milwaukee Lutheran.

Bailey Olson, Cameron GBB
Cameron grabbed a share of the Heart O’North title with a 54-39 victory over Hayward on Thursday. Junior Bailey Olson had a team-high 13 points for the Comets, adding six rebounds, three steals, and two assists. In a 77-23 win over Ashland earlier in the week, Olson scored 13 points with five steals, five assists, and four rebounds.

Quinn Widiker, Webster BBB
Senior Quinn Widiker helped Webster secure a pair of wins to close out the regular season, and scored his 1000th career point in the process. The Tigers beat Solon Spring 88-48, with Widiker going for 26 points and 16 rebounds. Widiker would again have 26 points, with 13 rebounds, in a 65-45 win against Frederic.

Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
