Bound Wisconsin Basketball Player of the Week - Dec. 8-14

Kiya Brand, Crivitz GBB

Crivitz junior Kiya Brand went over 1000 career points last week, sinking a free throw in a 57-42 win over Coleman to reach the milestone, as she’d finish with 28 points, seven steals, six rebounds, and four assists. Brand would score 22 points in an earlier 54-12 win over Saint Thomas Aquinas.

Rianna Dye, Platteville GBB

Platteville is undefeated and ranked in the top ten, coming off a pair of wins last week. First, they took down Darlington 62-55 as junior Rianna Dye had 19 points and 20 rebounds. Dye would have another big double-double with 17 points and 18 rebounds as the Hillmen defeated Cuba City 61-46.

Henry Gruetzmacher, Brookfield Central BBB

After a couple tough losses to begin the season, Brookfield Central boys hoops rebounded with a pair of league wins last week. In a 77-71 win over Germantown, Henry Gruetzmacher poured in 39 points with 10 rebounds. Gruetzmacher would add 26 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in a 71-51 victory against Hamilton earlier in the week.

Ben Prochnow, Reedsville BBB

Reedsville is off to a 4-0 start to the season, as Ben Prochnow has double figure points and assists in each game so far. Last week, he had 22 points and 11 rebounds in a 67-45 win over Hilbert to go with 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Panthers took down Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 89-51.

Wyatt Temperly, Belmont BBB

Belmont boys basketball was 3-0 last week, scoring a couple of blowout wins as well as a narrow conference victory. In a 74-38 win over Wisconsin Heights, sophomore Wyatt Temperly had 30 points and 10 rebounds. He’d add 28 points and six assists in a 96-70 victory against Warren (IL), along with 15 points and five rebounds as the Braves held off Pecatonica 73-71.
