Abbotsford Falcons
Abbotsford moved to 2-1 with a dominating 39-0 running clock victory over Division 7 fifth-ranked Iola-Scandinavia on Friday night. It was a dominating rushing performance for the Falcons, who racked up 480 yards on the ground on 55 carries, averaging 8.7 yards per attempt. Nine different players carried the ball, with three (Irvin Aguilera, Jesus Reyes, Jaxon Ploeckleman) over 100 yards.

Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks
Baldwin-Woodville was the Division 4 runner-up a year ago, and the Blackhawks are looking like one of the favorites in the division again. Facing Middle Border rival Saint Croix Central to open conference play, the Blackhawks were dominant, winning 46-0. The team rolled up 451 yards on the ground and posted a 509-109 advantage in total yards of offense. Dane Veenendall ran for 262 yards and three touchdowns on just eight attempts.

Jefferson Eagles
Jefferson ended what had been the state’s longest active conference winning streak, defeating Monroe 35-14 on Friday. It stopped a 29-game conference winning streak for the Cheesemakers, who last lost a league game way back in 2019 as a member of the Badger, and hadn’t fell to a Rock Valley squad since joining in 2020. Connor Witucki ran for 170 yards and four touchdowns for the Eagles.

Richland Center Hornets
For the first time since 2007, Richland Center defeated Lancaster, converting a two-point play in the closing seconds for a 27-26 victory. Fittingly, the last time the Hornets downed the Flying Arrows was 2007, when Bradie Ewing ran for 352 yards in a 29-13 win; Ewing served as the honorary captain for the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday. Senior running back Brady Dosch ran for 150 yards and a touchdown, adding the game-winning two-point conversion. Junior quarterback Jayden Schoepp accounted for 184 yards of offense and three touchdowns.

West Bend West Spartans
West Bend West has not made the regular playoffs since 2010 and has never won a WIAA postseason game, but the Spartans are 3-0 after a 26-3 win over Cedarburg in Week 3. the team got 165 rushing yards from senior Noah Reinhart, while Collin Grass threw for 116 yards and a score. Sean McElroy was big on defense, with eight tackles, an interception, and an 87-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
