Division 1
It is Arrowhead sitting atop the Division 1 Bound Wisconsin Coaches Poll once again, as the Warhawks just keep on cruising through a tough schedule. Franklin, Badger, and Waunakee are again close behind. After downing Sussex Hamilton in Week 3, Brookfield East was beaten soundly by Germantown 36-3, and the Spartans drop all the way from fifth to unranked this week. Also dropping out is Oconomowoc, as Neenah and Hudson make their way into the rankings. Mukwonago and Kenosha Bradford are just outside the top ten.
Division 2
Notre Dame remains the top-ranked Division 2 squad this week, though West De Pere continues to be very close in the voting, with Rice Lake and Homestead not far behind. Holmen moves into the top five, as New Richmond’s loss to Hudson drops the Tigers from fourth to ninth this week.
Division 3
There were no changes in the top six of the Division 3 rankings this week, as Catholic Memorial continues to occupy the top spot. The Crusaders have a big game coming up this week against eighth-ranked New Berlin West. Pewaukee drops out of the poll after a second loss this year, allowing Luxemburg-Casco to move in after downing last year’s D5 runner-up Wrightstown.
Division 4
Aquinas slides just ahead of Winneconne for the number one ranking in Division 4 this week, though the rest of the top five remains unchanged. Further down the poll, three new teams enter: Evansville, Little Chute, and Waupun. Freedom, Wrightstown, and Mosinee all suffered losses last week and drop out of the rankings.
Division 5
Northwestern scored an impressive victory over rival Saint Croix Falls last week and the Tigers retain the top spot in Division 5. Amherst is second, while Lake Country Lutheran drops from third to ninth this week following a loss to Racine St. Catherine’s.
Division 6
Edgar stays undefeated, knocking off a very good Marquette Academy (IL) team on a last-second field goal in a replacement game. The Wildcats are first in the D6 poll once again, followed by Regis. Darlington, Mondovi, and Cambridge round out the top five. Loyal/Greenwood, Fennimore, and Chetek-Weyerhaueser all make their debuts in the poll, while Cadott, Lomira, and Waterloo all fall out of the poll.
Division 7
Kenosha St. Joseph scored an impressive win over Division 3 Greendale, and it was enough to nudge the Lancers in front of Potosi/Cassville for the top position this week. The rest of the top five is unchanged, with Black Hawk/Warren, Boyceville, and Cochrane-Fountain City. Pepin/Alma is up three spots, while Lourdes Academy’s win over Johnson Creek drops the Bluejays from seventh to tenth this week.
8-Player
Gilman remains the top-ranked team in 8-player football, setting the stage for a huge showdown this week against second-ranked McDonell Central. Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas is up a couple spots to third. Last year’s third-ranked team Oakfield makes a precipitous drop out of the rankings following a replacement game loss to Algoma, who enters at number ten. Sevastopol and Hurley exit after losses, while Wabeno/Laona and Tri-County are new to the poll.
