Bound Wisconsin Basketball Player of the Week - Dec. 22-28

Riley Podevels, Abbotsford GBB

In Abbotsford’s only game last week, the Falcons posted a 72-65 victory over Chequamegon. Junior Riley Podevels had a big game, scoring 29 points with 10 rebounds to go with seven steals. She went 11-of-17 from the free throw line to help put things away, with five of her rebounds coming on the offensive side.

Blake Risler, Regis BBB

Regis was dominant in a 91-41 win over Cameron last Monday, moving to 4-1 heading into break. The Ramblers got 36 points from senior Blake Risler, who shot 14-of-20 from the field and 7-of-12 from three. He added five steals in the game as well.

Brandon Wagner, Turtle Lake BBB

Turtle Lake remained unbeaten with a 72-48 victory over Plum City/Elmwood last week, as the Lakers continue on their march to try to return to the state tournament. Senior Brandon Wagner posted a triple-double with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, going 12-for-17 from the field.

Catherine Williams, Saint Croix Falls GBB

Saint Croix Falls girls basketball took on Osceola last week for a non-conference game, and the Saints came away with a 54-45 victory. Junior Catherine Williams erupted for 30 points in the victory, adding five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

Keaton Wollan, Amery BBB

Keaton Wollan had a couple of big games in leading Amery to victories last week. In a 67-60 win over Unity on Monday, Wollan scored a game-high 29 points with 11 rebounds, six steals, and five assists. On Saturday, Amery won an 82-80 shootout over Hayward, as Wollan poured in a career-high 41 points, connecting on 16-of-29 field goal attempts. He added 11 rebounds in the win.
