Bound Wisconsin Basketball Team of the Week - Jan. 19-25

Bay Port GBB
Bay Port did its best to stay in the FRCC race with a pair of wins last week. It was a low-scoring affair as the Pirates took down Pulaski 38-30 on Tuesday. On Thursday, senior Melia Lemorande erupted for 35 points and 13 rebounds to go with five assists as Bay Port scored a 65-54 win against Manitowoc Lincoln.

Grantsburg BBB
Grantsburg handed Webster its first loss of the season on Tuesday, 59-51. The Pirates jumped out to a 28-19 halftime lead and held on for the win. Grantsburg was led by 26 points from Caleb Rombach.

Stanley-Boyd BBB
Stanley-Boyd opened last week with a 65-48 win over McDonell Central behind 20 points from junior Charlie Hoel. On Thursday, the Orioles made the trip to Regis in a huge showdown in the Cloverbelt-West. Stanley-Boyd forced a three-way tie atop the league standings with an impressive 63-60 victory. Hoel had 24 points and 10 rebounds in the win, as the Orioles are now tied for the conference lead with Regis and Fall Creek.

Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
