Madison/Southwest

Lake Mills (5-0, 3-0; D4 #4) at Lodi (4-1, 2-1; UR) - Lke Mills has been oen of the most impressive teams in the state to this point, with Tyler Wollin leading a dynamic passing attack that averages more than 280 yards per game. Lodi’s lone loss was against Columbus, but the Blue Devils have looked very good as well outside of that one setback.

Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca (5-0, 3-0; D7 #8) at Black Hawk/Warren (5-0, 3-0; D7 #3) - Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca scored impressive early wins over Ithaca and Cashton, but not gets into a three-game stretch that will define their season: at Black Hawk/Warren, home vs Potosi/Cassville, and on the road against River Ridge.

Sauk Prairie (4-1, 3-0; UR) at Mount Horeb/Barneveld (4-1, 3-0; D3 #4) - Sauk Prairie is off to a nice 4-1 start, and sits at 3-0 in the Badger-Small. This is a big week to see if they are contenders in the league, facing off against Mount Horeb/Barneveld, who has not lost a conference game since 2021.

Baraboo (0-5, 0-3; UR) at Reedsburg (3-2, 1-2; UR) - This marks the 138th meeting in the state’s most-played high school football rivalry, though Reedsburg holds a narrow 66-65-6 advantage in the previous matchups. The teams play for the Old River Jug.

Watertown (1-4, 0-3; UR) at Beaver Dam (2-3, 1-2; UR) - The teams have played as rivals in several different leagues over the years, but meet for the 104th time overall, with Watertown leading 57-43-3.

Milwaukee/Southeast

Franklin (5-0, 3-0; D1 #1) at Kenosha Bradford (5-0, 3-0; UR) - Bradford has been one of the surprise teams in the state this year, entering this week an unexpected 5-0. The Red Devils have not seen the likes of Franklin, however, with the Sabers the number one team in the latest Bound Wisconsin D1 Coaches Poll, coming off a dominating 45-10 win over rival Oak Creek.

Marquette (3-2, 3-0; UR) at Hamilton (4-1, 2-1; D1 #6) - Marquette has rebounded with three consecutive wins after struggling in the non-conference schedule. The Hilltoppers have got some things going offensively in that time, with junior quarterback Ben Schroeder really taking a step forward. Hamilton has been a little banged up, but did manage to knock off Germantown 23-21 last week.

Brookfield East (4-1, 2-1; UR) at Muskego (4-1, 3-0; D1 #3) - Muskego scored a huge win over former top-ranked Arrowhead last week, and the Warriors have another tough test on Friday night as they’ll welcome in Brookfield East to InPro Field.

Mukwonago (4-1, 3-0; UR) at Pewaukee (3-2, 1-2; D3 #9) - Pewaukee got back on track with a nice win over Waukesha West last week, but the brutally tough schedule continues, as they host Mukwonago, who is tied atop the Classic Eight standings with Muskego.

Plymouth (5-0, 3-0; D3 #3) at Port Washington (3-2, 3-0; UR) - The winner of this showdown takes over sole possession of first place in the East Central standings and becomes the heavy favorite to win the league title this year.

Fox Valley

Appleton North (4-1, 3-0; UR) at Neenah (4-1, 3-0; D1 #10) - A crowded FVA race will get a bit more clarity this week, as Neenah and Appleton North are among the teams still unbeaten in league play heading into Week 6. Each opened the season with impressive wins over Classic Eight powers in Week 1 before dropping a tough non-conference game the following week.

Mayville (5-0, 3-0; D5 #4) at Saint Mary’s Springs (3-2, 2-1; UR) - Springs is coming off a 25-24 heartbreaker against rival Winnebago Lutheran, but has to rebound quickly this week, welcoming in undefeated Mayville, who has been rolling up big rushing numbers in its Wing-T offense.

Sheboygan South (1-4, 1-2; UR) at Sheboygan North (4-1, 2-1; UR) - These intra-city rivals meet for the 88th time, with South holding a 44-40-3 advantage dating back to the first meeting in 1938, as they’ve met at least once every season since.

Little Chute (4-1, 3-0; D4 #8) at Wrightstown (4-1, 2-1; UR) - The North Eastern Conference is extremely competitive once again, with both of these teams trying to stay in the mix. Little Chute is off to a 4-1 start in Mark Krommenacker’s first season at the helm, bringing in a flexbone option attack.

North Central

Oconto Falls (4-1, 3-0; UR) at Coleman (4-1, 3-0; UR) - It is Homecoming for Coleman, and there’s plenty else on the line for both teams, who are currently tied atop the Northwoods standings. The winner will take over sole possession of first place.

Mosinee (3-2, 2-1; UR) at Tomahawk (5-0, 3-0; D5 #5) - Mosinee has been one of the top teams in the Great Northern for some time, but the Indians are looking up in the standings at Tomahawk as of right now. The Hatchets have nice league wins over Wausau East, Antigo, and Rhinelander already, the M schools coming up (Mosinee, Medford, Merrill).

Marshfield (1-4, 1-2; UR) at Wisconsin Rapids (0-5, 0-3; UR) - These storied programs are struggling, but this longtime rivalry will be played for the 114th time dating back to 1907, with Wisconsin Rapids holding a 68-41-4 all-time advantage.

Antigo (1-4, 0-3; UR) at Rhinelander (2-3, 1-2; UR) - The Red Robins and Hodags will meet up for the 104th time, as Antigo leads the all-time series 66-34-3.

Eau Claire/Northwest

Rice Lake (5-0, 3-0; D2 #3) at New Richmond (4-1, 2-1; D2 #9) - A big one in the Big Rivers, as Rice Lake is looking to stay atop the standings (currently tied with Hudson), while defending league champion New Richmond needs to find a way to victory to stay in the race.

Hudson (5-0, 3-0; D1 #9) at River Falls (4-1, 2-1; UR) - Not only is this the 108th meeting all-time between these teams (River Falls leads 56-51), but it’s an important Big Rivers Conference game, which could either get a good amount of clarity this week (if Hudson and Rice Lake win), or get thrown into chaos (if New Richmond and River Falls win).

Cochrane-Fountain City (5-0, 2-0; D7 #5) at Pepin/Alma (5-0, 3-0; D7 #6) - A couple of the top teams in Division 7 meet up in this one, with both looking extremely dominant. Cochrane-Fountain City has yet to allow a point this year, while Pepin/Alma has allowed just 20 points in five running clock victories.

Ellsworth (3-2, 2-1; UR) at Baldwin-Woodville (5-0, 3-0; D4 #3) - Baldin-Woodville has been extremely impressive this year, coming off a 2024 Division 4 runner-up finish. Ellsworth is 3-2, but has an impressive win over Division 2 playoff team La Crosse Central on its resume.

Grantsburg (5-0, 3-0; D5 #3) at Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (5-0, 3-0; D6 #6) - A huge showdown in the Lakeland Conference, as the last remaining undefeated teams in the league battle it out. The winner has a huge advantage the rest of the way in the conference race.
