DIVISION 2 | BRACKET

(Times, dates, & locations subject to change)

The Placements

Last year’s state champion, West De Pere, is moved into Division 1 this year, so we’ll get a new champion in D2. New Richmond is the unbeaten champion of the Big Rivers Conference and earned the first overall seed in the division, and the number one in the upper left. Badger-Small champ Beaver Dam is the two. Monona Grove is the number one seed in the lower left, with Elkhorn the two seed. Last year’s Division 3 state champion Grafton is the number six-seed there. Notre Dame is undefeated the runner-up a year ago, and the Tritons are the top seed in the top right bracket. Union Grove went a perfect 9-0 during the regular season to win the Southern Lakes Conference and earned the top seed in the lower right group. Homestead is the two-seed.

Six to Watch

Here are six of the most electric offensive players that will be lining it up beginning this weekend:

Kingston Allen, Notre Dame - What more can you say about Allen? He set the single-season rushing record last year and has a chance to break it this season, rushing for 2,546 yards and 48 touchdowns on just 187 carries in 2026, averaging 23.6 yards per carry.

Ethan Foemmel, Marshfield - Just a sophomore, Foemmel has thrown for 1,675 yards with 28 touchdowns and just two interceptions, completing 64% of his passes this year.

Jordan Garcia, Waukesha South - Garcia is a four-year starter at quarterback for the Blackshirts and has them in the playoffs for the first time since 1999. This season he’s completed 73% of his passes for 1,824 yards with 23 touchdowns. He’s added 221 yards and five scores on the ground.

Brock Hiley, Beaver Dam - Hiley leads the powerful Beaver Dam rushing attack with 1,563 yards and 22 touchdowns this year, averaging 10.6 yards per rush on 148 attempts.

Gabe Servais, La Crosse Central - Servais is a 1000/1000 guy, throwing for 1,012 yards and 11 touchdowns this season with 1,061 rushing yards and 16 scores on the ground.

Austyn Wittek, New Richmond - Wittek is a North Dakota State commit who rushed for 1,659 yards and 27 touchdowns on 158 carries this year, averaging 10.5 yards per attempt for the Tigers. He also caught 10 passes for 245 yards and four scores.

Upset Alert

Brookfield Central went 3-6 this year and won just one of the final seven games of the year, but the Lancers played loads of close contests, including the last four losses by a single score each. The seventh-seeds will have seen quality competition all year, playing a tougher schedule than second-seeded Beaver Dam, the Badger-Small champion.

Best Level 1 Game

Notre Dame will be the heavy favorite to win the Division 2 state championship this year, and deservedly so. But the Tritons have a challenging matchup in Level 1 against a Germantown squad that is a number eight seed despite some nice wins this year. Not only that, but a pair of Wisconsin Badger commits will meet up: Notre Dame running back Kingston Allen and Germantown offensive lineman Cole Reiter.

Potential intriguing match-ups the rest of the way

Please note the emphasis on potential.

Notre Dame vs. Kaukauna, Sectional Final - These teams played a whale of a game back in Week 2 of the regular season when Notre Dame scored a 35-28 win behind 453 rushing yards by Kingston Allen.

Union Grove vs. Homestead, Sectional Final - Union Grove is undefeated this year and averaging nearly 35 points per game while allowing just 11. The Broncos won a Southern Lakes Conference title, and would be taking on a Homestead squad that lost once this year, a 36-35 surprise against Wisconsin Lutheran.
