The Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes have been selected as the Level 3 Bound Wisconsin Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team continued its Cinderella run from eight-seed to the state semi-finals. The Blue Dukes were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 3. A total of 6,946 votes were cast, as Whitefish Bay’s 3,224 votes edged Baldwin-Woodville’s 2,829 votes.

Whitefish Bay’s Cinderella run continued on Friday, as the Blue Dukes defeated Martin Luther 28-7. Whitefish Bay is just the third, eighth-seeded team to advance to the state semi-finals since 1-8 seeding began in 2012. Both Lateef Love (163 yards) and Kaden Kelly (103 yards) went over the century mark on the ground.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Bound Wisconsin Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
