Kewaunee fell in last year’s Division 3 state title game to Kenosha St. Joseph by just one run, and with St. Joe’s up in D2 this season, the Storm are the early favorites to take home a gold ball in 2026. Most of the pitching and hitting production from last season returns, including Northeast District Player of the Year Brett Paulson as well as Waylon Delain and Jackson Walecka.
Stratford, Dodgeville, Cedar Grove-Belgium, and Marathon were chosen as the remainder of the top five in the preseason by the coaches.
