Mount Horeb senior Josh Manchester is the top returning scorer in the state from last season

A talented group of boys basketball players returns for the 2025-26 season, and over the next few days we’ll take a look at some of the top returners in several stats categories. Up first is scoring, as last season produced some outstanding performers.

The top returning scorer based on points per game is Mount Horeb senior Josh Manchester, who was one of nine players to average at least 30 points per game last year. As a junior last season, Manchester averaged 31.1 points per game.

In total points, Racine St. Catherine’s senior LaMont Hamilton poured in a 760 points last season, averaging 30.4 points per game. The two-sport standout also helped the Angels to the 2024 WIAA Division 4 football state championship last season.
