The 2026 Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 1 All-State Team is highlighted by repeat selections Yusef Gray, Jr. of West Allis Central, Amare Hereford of Beloit Memorial, and Zavier Zens of Wisconsin Lutheran.

Yusef Gray, Jr. is a dynamic scorer and all-around player who unfortunately saw his season cut short by an injury late in the regular season. He was nonetheless a deserved finalist for Mr. Basketball, averaging 24.3 points per game along with 6.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.1 steals per contest.

Hereford was one of the most dynamic players in the state this year, repeating as a First Team All-State choice. He led the state in scoring at 37.5 points per game while shooting 61% from the field and 45% from three. Hereford averaged 8.5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 3.9 steals per ballgame.

Zens was the 2026 Mr. Basketball selection by the WBCA and a starter on three straight state championship teams. He was a steadying force for a young Wisconsin Lutheran squad, averaging a team-high 23.4 points per game to go with 5.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest.

Grant Hardy was part of a strong senior group that lifted Appleton North to its first state tournament appearance this season. A four-year starter for the Lightning, Hardy averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists per game this season.

Andrew Jensen was First Team All-Conference, All-Defense, and the Player of the Year in the FVA this season. A force on the interior, he averaged 17.5 points and 12.1 rebounds per game, adding 2.2 blocks as well.

Cahlil Jones and Germantown played one of the toughest schedules in the state, and Jones still was able to shine. The senior averaged 23.1 points per game to go with 5.3 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per contest.

Kager Knueppel has been a starter on the last two Wisconsin Lutheran state championships and took his game to another level in his junior campaign. Growing into his 6’10” frame, he averaged 16.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game for the Vikings.

Will Krueger helped De Pere claim an outright FRCC title this year as the Redbirds advanced to the Division 1 state tournament. The junior averaged 17.2 points per game as the team’s leading scorer, shooting 55% from the field, 47% from three, and 82% from the free throw line.

Bryce Ott was a four-year varsity player at Oshkosh North, including last year’s state tournament qualifier. The 6’7” senior averaged team highs in both scoring at 22.4 points per game and rebounding at 8.7 per contest.

Chris Pohl helped Marshfield to back-to-back 20-win seasons, including a Division 1 state tournament appearance in 2025. He had a big senior season, averaging 20.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per ballgame.
