BOUND WISCONSIN WEEK 1 FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Kingston Allen, Notre Dame
In an early contender for Game of the Year, Notre Dame rallied to defeat Neenah 56-53 in overtime. Notre Dame’s Kingston Allen, the defending WFCA co-Offensive Player of the Year, went off for 458 yards and seven touchdowns on 38 carries, also catching two passes for nine yards, picking right up where he left off last year.
Jack Bunyan, Port Washington
Port Washington opened the 2026 season with a solid 39-20 win over Sheboygan North, a larger Division 1 program. Junior quarterback Jack Bunyan started the year with a bang, throwing for 494 yards and five touchdowns on 19-of-31 passing.
Andrew Greisen, West De Pere
West De Pere won it all in Division 2 last year, and showed they’ll be a contender despite being elevated to D1, as the Phantoms scored a 42-20 road win over Sun Prairie East. After graduating WFCA co-Offensive Player of the Year Patrick Greisen at quarterback, his younger brother Andrew is more than ready to step in, completing 26-of-38 passes for 385 yards and five touchdowns.
Nolberto Rosales, Kenosha Bradford
One of the more surprising outcomes of Week 1 was Kenosha Bradford’s 52-12 thumping of Badger on Friday night. The Red Devils got 315 yards and seven passing touchdowns from junior quarterback Nolberto Rosales in the win. He completed 76% of his passes (19/25) as the Red Devils made a huge early statement.
Daxter Schultz, Grantsburg
Grantsburg took down Amery 34-28 behind 470 yards of offense. Senior running back Daxter Schultz rushed for 233 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries, averaging 8.3 yards per carry. He also caught four passes for 93 yards and a touchdown and scored a two-point conversion.
Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
