The Drummond boys basketball team has been selected as the Week 10 Bound Wisconsin Basketball Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team got a trio of wins last week, moving into first place in the league standings. The Lumberjacks were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 10. A total of 2,607 votes were cast, as Drummond’s 1,104 votes edged Wauwatosa East girls basketball’s 193 votes.

Drummond won three games last week, two of them conference, to move into solo possession of first place in the Northern Lights Conference. The Lumberjacks took down Mellen 55-47, then defeated a very good Webster squad 53-38 in non-conference play. Finally, they downed Mercer 63-27 as they’ve now won nine in a row.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Bound Wisconsin Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
