Bound Wisconsin Basketball Team of the Week - March 2-8

Fall River GBB
Fall River is the biggest Cinderella to qualify for the girls basketball state tournament, as the Pirates went 13-11 during the regular season before four consecutive victories to qualify for state. That includes a 75-48 win over Madison Country Day in a sectional semifinal, followed by a 58-48 victory against Lourdes Academy, a team they lost to just two weeks earlier, in a sectional final.

Muskego BBB
Muskego finished a distant fifth in the Classic 8 this year, but the tenth-seeded Warriors have one of the biggest upsets of the entire season thanks to a 74-65 win over second-seeded West Allis Central in a regional final on Saturday. The Warriors almost didn’t get there, scoring a one-point win over Racine Park in a regional semifinal 75-74.

Saint Mary Catholic GBB
After a runner-up finish in Division 4 last year, the Zephyrs are back at the state tournament thanks to a thrilling sectional final victory. Before that, they had to get past Stratford in a sectional semifinal, something they did convincingly in a 52-21 win. Facing Kewaunee in a sectional final, the teams went to overtime before Saint Mary Catholic pulled out a 58-56 victory. Junior Autumn Crowe had a game-high 24 points.
