BOUND WISCONSIN WEEK 3 FOOTBALL TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Arrowhead Warhawks
The #1 versus #1 showdown Thursday night between Division 1 top-ranked Arrowhead and Division 3 top-ranked Catholic Memorial certainly lived up to the hype. The game was nip-and-tuck early on, tied at 14 at halftime. However, the second half belonged to Arrowhead. The Warhawks did not attempt a pass in the second half, using their depth and size advantage to lean on the Crusaders, pulling away for a 34-14 victory. Arrowhead rolled up 329 rushing yards, with Jebari Craig going for 188 and three touchdowns while Devin Nettles rushed for 144 yards and two scores.
Baraboo Thunderbirds
Baraboo held on for a 40-34 win over Tomah on Friday night, as the Thunderbirds ended a pair of lengthy losing streaks, a 21-game overall skid and 16 in a row in conference play. The Thunderbirds got 156 rushing yards and three touchdowns from senior Ethan Huelsemann, 135 passing yards from senior Carter Rivas, and 100 receiving yards from senior Rashad Hodges.
Green Bay West Wildcats
Green Bay West has not made the playoffs since 1996, but the Wildcats are off to a 3-0 start after a dominating 37-8 win over longtime crosstown rival Green Bay East. It marked the 121st meeting between the schools in the state’s longest-running continuous rivalry game dating back to 1905. Kash Lowe and Urijah Moore each ran for more than 100 yards in the win.
Kaukauna Galloping Ghosts
Kaukauna got off to a great start in FVA play, taking down Kimberly 14-7 on Friday night, sending the Papermakers to an 0-3 start to the year. Senior Muhammad Jobe had a big game, rushing for 241 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries. He also caught a pair of passes for 26 yards.
Westosha Central Falcons
Westosha Central entered the 2026 season with a 13-game losing streak, which stretched to 14 games after Week 1. The Falcons opened some eyes with a Week 2 non-conference win over Wisconsin Lutheran, and really broke out on Friday night with a 21-13 victory over Southern Lakes heavyweight Badger, ending the Badgers’ 29-game conference winning streak. Sophomore Logan Nutting rushed for 190 yards in the victory.
Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
