Bound Wisconsin Week 4 Football Player of the Week Nominees

Brady Bauer, Lourdes Academy
It was a battle of Trailways Conference unbeatens on Friday night, with Lourdes Academy scoring a 36-12 win over Johnson Creek. Brady Bauer provided almost all of the offense for the Knights, completing 13-of-22 passes for 249 yards and three touchdowns, also leading the team with 121 yards and two scores on the ground. He added nine tackles, four tackles for loss, a sack, and forced fumble over on defense.

Justin Bergmann, Pepin/Alma
It was an undefeated showdown on Friday night but Pepin/Alma turned it into a rout, beating Blair-Taylor 52-14. Senior running back Justin Bergmann had a huge game, rushign 22 times for 318 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 14.5 yards per carry.

Latayvious Brown, Milwaukee Hamilton
In his first action of the year, Milwaukee Hamilton running back Latayvious Brown made a splash, rushing 22 times for 374 yards and six touchdowns plus a 70-yard kick return touchdown as the Wildcats defeated Milwaukee Riverside 72-54.

Eric Cumber, Ripon
Ripon is making headway in Andrew Selgrad’s second year at the helm, and the Tigers beat Wisconsin Dells 42-34 on Friday night behind 336 yards and four touchdown on 38 carries by senior running back Eric Cumber, who leads the state in rushing this season with 1,062 yards in four games.

Beau Veit, Waterford
On a weekend with several game-winning field goals, none were longer or more impressive than Waterford’s Beau Veit, who made a 45-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Wolverines to a 24-21 win over Wilmot in a Southern Lakes Conference game. He also made all three extra point attempts and averaged 47 yards per punt.

Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
