Updated UNOFFICIAL Wisconsin Football Playoff Matrix rankings have been posted, and it’s time to take a look at some of the noteworthy changes and movement after last week’s results.
The unofficial results are courtesy of andylavoy.com/football, and the full point totals and rankings for all divisions can be found there. Official point totals are kept by the WIAA.

Remember, there are thousands of games remaining on the schedule this year, with lots of changes ahead in the order, and things will smooth out the more results that are in the system.
DIVISION 1
Arrowhead continues to have a significant advantage in the Division 1 Matrix Points, with a number of wins over high quality opponents. Hudson moves up to second this week, with Sussex Hamilton and Bay Port also currently in number one seed positions. Of note, undefeated Stevens Point is at number 29 overall, which would be an eight seed, as the Panthers’ schedule has not been very strong to this point, though that should improve going forward.
DIVISION 2
Homestead remains atop the Division 2 unofficial Matrix, with Union Grove, Notre Dame, and Holmen part of the number one seed group (top four overall) as well. West Allis Central is once again the last qualifier in Division 2.
DIVISION 3
Grafton moves to the top overall seed in Division 3, with New Berlin West dipping a couple spots but still a number one seed. Luxemburg-Casco and Lakeland move up to number one seeds this week. By just a few percentage points, McFarland has the last playoff qualifying spot.
DIVISION 4
The top three overall spots this week are unchanged, with Aquinas, Winneconne, and Columbus occupying those positions. Shoreland Lutheran moves up to the final number one seed this week. Milwaukee North is the last team out, as the only wins this season have come via forfeit.
DIVISION 5
Grantsburg stays atop the Division 5 Matrix this week, as the Pirates have played a strong schedule and come through unscathed so far. Wittenberg-Birnamwood drops from a one seed to the final two-seed after falling to Stratford last week. Lake Country Lutheran also falls from a one seed to a two-seed following a tough defeat against Saint Mary’s Springs.
DIVISION 6
Manitowoc Lutheran stays atop the Division 6 Matrix this week, with Edgar close behind. Saint Mary’s Springs defeated a very good D5 Lake Country Lutheran team, and that jumps the Ledgers from a three-seed to a one-seed this week.
DIVISION 7
Kenosha St. Joseph is the new top overall seed in Division 7 coming off a win over Division 3 Greendale. Wauzeka/Seneca is now second, with Pepin/Alma and Lourdes Academy also number one seeds this week. There’s a tie for the final qualifying spot between Brookwood and Shiocton.
8-Player
Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas edges ahead of Oakfield for the top overall position in 8-Player football. McDonell Central and Flambeau are not far behind, also number one seeds this week. Northwood/Solon Springs and Owen-Withee are the final qualifiers in the 8-player division.
