It is time to take a look at this week’s Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports Boys Basketball Media Poll. Voting is conducted by a panel of statewide media members.

Division 1

Wisconsin Lutheran is playing in a strong holiday tournament in South Carolina this week, showing why they’re not only the top-ranked team in Wisconsin, but one of the best teams in the entire country. West Allis Central remains the number two team this week, with De Pere and Kaukauna moving up a spot, as Arrowhead dips from third to fifth. Bay Port drops out, as Sheboygan North moves in to the poll at number eight.

Division 2

Onalaska stays atop the rankings, though Slinger scored impressive wins over Mount Horeb and Arrowhead recently, as the Owls are second despite a couple earlier losses. Beaver Dam, New Berlin West, and Wauwatosa West round out the top five. Greendale and Brookfield Central move into the rankings, while Mount Horeb and Milwaukee Academy of Science drop out.

Division 3

Freedom took down Brookfield Central over the weekend, solidifying their spot atop the Division 4 poll this week. Racine St. Catherine’s rises one spot to second, followed by Seymour, Stanley-Boyd, and Aquinas in the top five.

Division 4

Lomira stays atop the Division 4 rankings this week, though there are some changes elsewhere in the top five. Roncalli fell to Saint Mary Catholic in the Lourdes Academy Holiday Tournament championship game, and slide from second to sixth. Darlington has been inactive for nearly two weeks, as the Redbirds have played just two games so far this year. It hurts them in the rankings this week as they slide to fourth. Milwaukee Juneau is up to second, followed by Bonduel. Pardeeville is out, Fall Creek is in at the bottom of the rankings.

Division 5

North Crawford moves to the top of the Division 5 rankings this week, as Columbus Catholic is down to second. The Dons fell to Living Word Lutheran earlier today at the WBY Shootout. The rest of the top five stays the same, featuring Sheboygan Lutheran, Kickapoo, and Oakfield. Barneveld moves into the rankings for the first time, as Loyal drops out.
