It is time to take a look at this week’s Bound Wisconsin Football Coaches Poll. Division assignment this year is based on official WIAA assignments released prior to the start of the season. Division 1

Not a lot of change in Division 1 this week, with the top eight spots unchanged from Week 5. Leading the way again by a comfortable margin is Franklin, as the Sabers took care of previously undefeated Kenosha Bradford last week. Mukwonago re-enters the rankings this week, as the Indians are now 5-1. Hudson fell to River Falls for its first loss of the year and is now outside the top ten.

Division 2

Like Division 1, there was little change in D2 this week, with the top eight positions the same as last week. Notre Dame is the top-ranked team, but there are some strong teams nipping at the heels of the Tritons. Further down, New Richmond falls out after a second consecutive loss, allowing River Falls to move in after taking down Hudson last week.

Division 3

Another division with little change for Week 6. Catholic Memorial is the strong favorite atop the rankings, followed in the top five by Grafton, Plymouth, Mount Horeb/Barneveld, and Edgewood. La Crosse Logan dropped a second consecutive game, this time against Onalaska, and the Rangers drop out of the poll, as Reedsburg moves back in at number ten. Reedsburg will travel to Logan this week.

Division 4

Aquinas continues to hold the top spot in the Division 4 Coaches Poll on BoundWisconsin.com, with the Blugolds followed closely by fellow undefeated teams Winneconne and Baldwin-Woodville. Lake Mills was defeated soundly by Lodi, and the L-Cats drop from fourth to tenth this week, while Lodi moves into the rankings at number nine. That means unbeaten Waupun slides just outside the poll.

Division 5

Northwestern has the edge in the Division 5 Coaches Poll voting once again. Amherst, Grantsburg, Mayville, and New Glarus round out the top five. Tomahawk suffered its first loss of the year against Mosinee, and the Hatchets dip two spots to seventh this week.

Division 6

Edgar remains atop the Division 6 poll, with Regis, Darlington, and Mondovi close behind. Manitowoc Lutheran moves into the top five, as a loss by Cambridge drops the Blue Jays from fifth to completely out of the rankings.

Division 7

Another division with few changes in the top, as Kenosha St. Joseph is the leader of a top five that remains unchanged. Pepin/Alma fell in a 15-14 heartbreaker to fifth-ranked Cochrane-Fountain City, and the Eagles slide just one spot to seventh. Hilbert is new to the poll, as the Wolves replace Coleman.

8-Player

Gilman stays the heavy favorite in the coaches voting for 8-player, followed again by Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas, McDonell Central, and North Crawford. Shell Lake moves into the top five, benefiting from a loss by Belmont to North Crawford last week, as the Braves slide to eighth. Marion/Tigerton and Athens move into the rankings, with Tri-County and Valley Christian falling out.
