Gannon Bagstad of Edgewood has been selected as the Week 6 Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. His big day helped the Crusaders remain unbeaten heading into the home stretch of the season. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 1,625 votes were cast, as Bagstad’s 617 were enough to edge out second place Kobe Hendricks of Slinger, who tallied 307 votes.

Edgewood defeated Lakeside Lutheran 49-34 on Friday, with some huge plays in the passing game making a difference for the Crusaders. Senior quarterback Gannon Bagstad completed 13-of-19 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns, averaging more than 22 yards per completion. Bagstad also ran for 64 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
