Updated UNOFFICIAL Wisconsin Football Playoff Matrix rankings have been posted, and it’s time to take a look at some of the noteworthy changes and movement after last week’s results.
The unofficial results are courtesy of andylavoy.com/football, and the full point totals and rankings for all divisions can be found there. Official point totals are kept by the WIAA.

Remember, there are thousands of games remaining on the schedule this year, with lots of changes ahead in the order, and things will smooth out the more results that are in the system.
DIVISION 1
Another change in the top seeds, with Hudson’s loss to River Falls dropping the Raiders out of the overall top seed and down to a number two seed this week. Franklin ascends to the top after beating Kenosha Bradford, with the other number one seeds this week being Muskego, Hamilton, and Badger. Verona is the final qualifier as of now. Of note, Sheboygan North at 5-1 continues to be outside the playoff qualifying field, as the extremely weak schedule against mostly D2 and D3 programs hurts the Golden Raiders, who may need to beat either Oshkosh North and/or Menasha in the final two weeks to get into the postseason, as they play a 1-5 Green Bay East squad this week.
DIVISION 2
Rice Lake’s win over previously undefeated Division 1 team Hudson leaps the Warriors to the top of Division 2, with Holmen, Notre Dame, and Monona Grove the other number one seeds currently. Oshkosh North dips to a four-seed this week, as the Spartans schedule continues to hurt them, though they have huge opportunities to accumulate points in the final two weeks against Sheboygan North and Notre Dame. Ashwaubenon is currently the last qualifier in D2.
DIVISION 3
Grafton remains the top overall seed in Division 3, with Luxemburg-Casco, New Berlin West, and Catholic Memorial also sitting as number one seeds this week, the same as last. La Crosse Logan fell to Onalaska, as the Rangers drop from a two seed to a three seed, while Onalaska jumps up from a four-seed to a two-seed. Jefferson edges out several other 3-3 teams for the final unofficial spot in the playoffs as of right now.
DIVISION 4
Evansville takes over the overall top spot in Division 4, with Columbus, Aquinas, and Lodi the other number ones currently. Winneconne’s strength of schedule is taking a hit, which drops the Wolves from second overall to a three-seed this week. They have opportunities to make up points the final two weeks of the year.
DIVISION 5
Grantsburg is now the overall top seed in Division 5, with Amherst, Northwestern, and Racine Lutheran the other number one seeds, unofficially. The final two qualifying spots, unofficially, belong to Richland Center and Oostburg.
DIVISION 6
Edgar takes over the top spot in Division 6, though the Wildcats are mere percentage points ahead of the other number one seeds: Darlington, Regis, and Manitowoc Lutheran. Cadott is 4-2 and the final qualifying team in the unofficial Division 6 Matrix points.
DIVISION 7
Kenosha St. Joseph continues to have a big lead in the Division 7 rankings once again, while Lourdes Academy, Cochrane-Fountain City, and now Black Hawk/Warren would be the other number one seeds. Hillsboro is currently the last qualifying team, unofficially.
8-Player
Oakfield gets the top spot in the Matrix again this week, as the Oaks’ loss to Algoma a couple weeks ago was a replacement game that is not considered for seeding, instead they get the points from a forfeit win that week against Princeton/Green Lake. Flambeau, Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas, and Giolman are the other number one seeds. Prentice would be the final qualifier as of right now.
