Beau Libbey of Brookfield Academy has been selected as the Week 7 Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. His big day helped the Blue Knights score an important league win to improve their playoff chances. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 13,059 votes were cast, as Libbey’s 5,432 were enough to edge out second place Quintin Arizola of Delavan-Darien, who tallied 4,978 votes.

Brookfield Academy jumped out early and then held on for a 50-36 win over Living Word Lutheran on Friday night. Beau Libbey carried the ball 32 times in the game for 273 yards and five touchdowns, adding five tackles and a sack on defense plus two kick returns for 122 yards.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
