BOUND WISCONSIN WEEK 7 FOOTBALL TEAM OF THE WEEK NOMINEES

Boyceville Bulldogs
Boyceville left no doubt about the top team in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference, putting a running clock on Spring Valley in a showdown of teams that entered tied atop the league standings. In the 42-7 running clock decision, Boyceville senior quarterback Carson Roemhild threw for three touchdowns, had a pair of interceptions on defense, and returned a kickoff 82 yards for a score.

Green Bay East Red Devils
Green Bay East knocked off Sheboygan North 14-7 on Friday. Senior quarterback Quincy Shields threw for 166 yards and scored a pair of short rushing touchdowns. The Red Devils have games remaining against winless Manitowoc Lincoln and a struggling Green Bay West team, as East stands a good chance to make the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

Neenah Rockets
Neenah and Kimberly were locked in a defensive battle all night, but Neenah was just a little better, finding its way to a 7-0 victory. The Rockets had 277 yards of offense, led by 174 total yards from junior quarterback Ashton VanBeek, while Neenah’s defense limited Kimberly to just 78 total yards. It is the first time since 2005 that Kimberly has lost more than one regular season game. Neenah is alone atop the FVA standings with games against Fond du Lac and Hortonville remaining.

Prairie du Chien Blackhawks
Things just got a little more interesting in the SWC after Prairie du Chien handed D5 #5 New Glarus its first loss of the year, 36-28. Junior running back Darian Jackson had a big day with 238 yards and three touchdowns on 39 carries, while sophomore quarterback Cayden Sutter completed six-of-nine passes for 170 yards and a touchdown.

River Falls Wildcats
River Falls handed Rice Lake its first loss of the season, 40-28 on Friday night in a key Big Rivers Conference game. It was another big offensive performance for River Falls, with 197 rushing yafrds by Joseph Tarasewicz, 222 passing yards and three touchdowns for quarterback Tino Massa, and seven receptions for 134 yards and three scores from receiver Mason Novak. There’s now a three-way tie atop the Big Rivers between Rice Lake, River Falls, and Hudson.
