It is time to take a look at this week’s Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports Girls Basketball Media Poll. Voting is conducted by a panel of statewide media members.

Division 1

There aren’t many changes in the Division 1 rankings this week, with Arrowhead narrowly edging out Wauwatosa East for the top spot. Pewaukee, Appleton East, and Waunakee round out the top five. Neenah and Stevens Point dropped slightly but remain in the rankings.

Division 2

Pius XI Catholic occupied the top spot in the poll for several weeks, but three consecutive losses has the Lady Popes sliding to fourth. Unbeaten La Crosse Central is the new number one team, with Whitefish Bay second, while Rice Lake slips to third. No teams dropped out of the rankings this week.

Division 3

Oostburg is the number one team in Division 3, and the number one team overall in the state in the Bound Power Index. Edgerton is up to second, just ahead of Kettle Moraine Lutheran. Winneconne is fourth and Aquinas fifth. Racine St. Catherine’s enters the rankings at number ten, as Watertown Luther Prep falls out of the poll.

Division 4

Saint Mary Catholic stays at number one for a second straight week, with Dominican remaining second, followed by Neillsville, Stratford, and Regis. Deerfield suffered its first defeat and dips from third to eighth.

Division 5

No changes in the top portion of the rankings, with Eleva-Strum again the top-ranked team. Argyle/Pecatonica, Pacelli, and Webster are close behind. Owen-Withee tumbles five spots to tenth. Blair-Taylor and Royall replace Barneveld and Sheboygan Lutheran in the rankings.
