All game times 7 pm unless otherwise noted.

Bay Port (1-0; D1 #1) at Kimberly (0-1; D1 #10) - Bay Port’s offense put up nearly 600 yards last week in a win over Middleton, while Kimberly is trying to avoid losing two regular season games (not consecutively, but total) in the same season for the first time since 2005.

Sun Prairie West (0-1) at Catholic Memorial (0-1; D3 #1) at Carroll University - Catholic Memorial dropped a tough one to Franklin last week, but the Crusaders still debuted at number one in the D3 Bound Wisconsin Coaches Poll. They’ll look to pick up their first win this weekend against Sun Prairie West.

La Crosse Central (0-1) at Ellsworth (0-1) - Central was hammered by Waunakee last week, while Ellsworth lost a tight 12-0 decision to the other La Crosse school, Logan, in Week 1. Two solid teams here, who need to pick up a win to get some momentum heading into conference next week.

Eau Claire Memorial (0-1) at Chippewa Falls (0-1) - One of the oldest and most-played rivalries in the state, this will be the 116th meeting between these Big Rivers rivals. Eau Claire Memorial holds a commanding 69-42-5 lead all-time.

All game times 7 pm unless otherwise noted.

Madison/Southwest

Oconomowoc (1-0) at Verona (0-1) - Oconomowoc cruised past Pulaski last week, while it wasn’t so easy for Verona. The Wildcats fell to Sun Prairie East and are looking to get back on track.

Monroe (0-1) at Mount Horeb/Barneveld (0-1; D3 #3) - Both teams won conference championships last year, Monroe in the Rock Valley and Mount Horeb/Barneveld in the Badger-Small, but each team suffered a loss in Week 1, and is looking to get back on track.

Edgerton (1-0) at Lodi (1-0; D4 #8) - Lodi looked good in a 21-14 win over Rock Valley champion Monroe last week. Meanwhile, Edgerton opened with a 28-0 shutout of Brodhead/Juda and has designs on contending in the Rock Valley, something they’re trying to build some momentum for this week against Lodi.

Prairie du Chien (0-1) at Darlington (#6 #3) - Prairie du Chien had a huge 2024 season, but heavy graduation losses have the Blackhawks turning a bunch of the roster. They lost to Aquinas 22-0 last week, while Darlington beat up on Platteville 63-33.

New Glarus (1-0) at Belleville (0-1) - This is the 76th meeting between these neighborning communities, as New Glarus holds a 42-31-2 advantage all-time.

Jefferson (0-1) at Fort Atkinson (0-1) - Both teams opened with losses this year, but this longtime showdown is in its 82nd meeting, with Fort Atkinson leading 49-26-6.

Milwaukee/Southeast

Neenah (1-0; D1 #5) at Arrowhead (1-0; D1 #2) - Two of the most impressive teams from Week 1 square off in this one, as Neenah is coming off an impressive 14-13 victory over Muskego, despite losing a couple dynamic playmakers from last season. Arrowhead showed off its explosive abilities in a 53-22 blowout of Marquette.

Slinger (1-0; D2 #1) at Badger (1-0) - These teams played a pair of outstanding games last year, both won by Slinger. The Owls claimed a 35-33 victory during the regular season before rallying for a 35-28 win in the state semi-finals.

Sussex Hamilton (1-0; D1 #3) at Racine Case (1-0) - Both teams looked awfully good against quality competition last week. Sussex Hamilton took down Kimberly 42-21, as Jacob Osmanski had an outstanding debut with more than 300 passing yards. Case shutout Cedarburg last week, 17-0.

Brookfield Central (1-0; D2 #8) at Franklin (1-0; D1 #4) - Franklin held on for a hard-fought 23-20 win over Catholic Memorial a year ago in what has become a frequent early-season non-conference matchup. The Sabers meet up with Brookfield Central this week, as the Lancers had no problems with DeForest.

Sun Prairie East (1-0; D1 #8) at Mukwonago (0-1) - Sun Prairie East was impressive in a 28-21 win over three-time defending Big Eight champion Verona, showing off a balanced offensive attack. Mukwonago didn’t fare so well against Appleton North, falling at home to the Lightning 21-6.

Oak Creek (1-0) at Muskego (0-1; D1 #9) - These former Southeast Conference foes haven’t played league games for many years, but they do meet up in non-conference action. Oak Creek dominated Waterford last week, while Muskego was shocked by Neenah.

Grafton (1-0; D3 #2) at Port Washington (0-1; D3 #7) - These are a couple of the top teams in Division 3, despite Port Washington losing a narrow 14-13

Cedar Grove-Belgium (0-1; D6 #9) at Kenosha St. Joseph (1-0; D7 #1) - CGB started out on the wrong foot, going down to Mayville in Week 1. They’ll try to rebound quickly, but it won’t be easy against a dynamic St. Joe’s squad that has all kinds of weapons.

Fox Valley

Kaukauna (0-1; D2 #7) at West De Pere (1-0; D3 #3) - These teams have played often in recent seasons, including twice last year. West De Pere got the better of the Galloping Ghosts in the regular season, but it was Kaukauna that got the win in the postseason, taking down West De Pere 20-14 in a sectional championship.

Marquette (0-1) at Fond du Lac (1-0) - Fond du Lac has struggled out of the gates the last few years against challenging schedules, but the Cardinals knocked off Hartford to begin the 2025 campaign. Now they welcome in a Marquette squad smarting from a blowout loss against Arrowhead.

De Pere (1-0) at Notre Dame (1-0; D2 #2) - Notre Dame won it all in Division 3 last year, and despite losing 3000-yard rusher and All-State tight end James Flanigan amongst others, the Tritons showed they’ll be a strong contender in an elevated D2, beating Kaukauna last week. De Pere had no trouble with Manitowoc Lincoln last week, but has to be ready to go right away this week.

Mosinee (1-0; D4 #6) at Menasha (0-1) - A game between teams from different geographical areas, with Mosinee coming in with all kinds of confidence after defeating three-time defending state champion Stratford last week. Menasha went down to Plymouth last week.

Oostburg (1-0) at Lomira (1-0; D6 #6) - Defending Division 6 state champion Lomira opened with a 28-6 win over Horicon/Hustisford, showing they have some staying power despite heavy graduation losses. The Lions welcome in the Flying Dutchmen to the artificial turf this week.

Horicon/Hustisford (0-1) at Mayville (1-0; D5 #6) - The Marsh Bowl continues, albeit with Horicon in a co-op the last several years. This is the 89th matchup between the teams, with Mayville holding a 66-18-4 advantage all-time.

Oconto Falls (1-0) at Saint Mary’s Springs (0-1; D6 #8) - Saint Mary’s Springs lost the first game in the post-Bob Hyland Era, falling to Lake Country Lutheran last week. First year coach Zach Wilderman will go for his first career victory this week against Oconto Falls.

Menomonie (MI) at Marinette (1-0) - The annual M&M Game is a special one in northeast Wisconsin, with these schools separated by just 3.2 miles, the Menominee River, and a state border. Menomonie (MI) leads that series 60-51-7, including a 49-6 victory a year ago.

Omro (1-0) at Winneconne (1-0) - These teams play for one of the most well-known rivalry trophies in the state, the China Bull Trophy. Omro leads 42-33-1 in 76 previous meetings in this rivalry.

North Central

Edgar (1-0; D6 #1) at Stratford (0-1; D5 #2) - One of the state’s best rivalries featuring two of the top small-school programs in state history. These teams battled in the Marawood Conference for many years, but keep things going in non-conference play. Stratford won its WIAA-record 10th state title last year, while Edgar claimed its ninth championship.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood (1-0; D5 #7) at Tomahawk (1-0) - Wittenberg-Birnamwood scored a nice opening win over Bonduel, while Tomahawk was all over Crandon to begin the season.

Weyauwega-Fremont (1-0; D6 #7) at Iola-Scandinavia (1-0; D7 #5) - Weyauwega-Fremont is coming off an impressive win over larger Berlin, who won the South Central Conference a year ago. Meanwhile, Iola-Scandinavia took down Shiocton last week, as junior Korz Loken, one of the country’s top tight end prospects, was impressive at running back, with 118 yards and two touchdowns, plus six catches for 63 yards and a score.

Eau Claire/Northwest

Columbus (1-0; D4 #5) at Aquinas (1-0; D4 #3) - These top five teams met twice last year in very close contests. Columbus won 20-16 in the regular season but Aquinas got revenge in the playoffs, winning 29-28.

Mondovi (1-0; D6 #4) at Osceola (1-0) - Osceola fancies itself as a contender in the Middle Border this year, and they have a chance to prove it further against a very good Mondovi program, who hammered G-E-T 62-31.

Northwestern (1-0; D6 #1) at Somerset (1-0) - Northwestern opens the season number one in the Division 5 Bound Wisconsin Coaches Poll, putting a big target squarely on the back of the Tigers. LIke they’ve done many times, they’ll take on Somerset in a non-conference game, with the Spartans beating up on Bloomer last week.

Grantsburg (1-0; D5 #5) at Saint Croix Falls (1-0; D5 #8) - Neither team was challenged too much in Week 1, with Grantsburg defeating Amery 35-7 while Saint Croix Falls took down Unity 30-8. Saint Croix Falls beat Grantsburg 45-21 last year, the only loss the Pirates experienced until the D6 state title game.
