Level 1 Surprise
It was a fairly common upset pick, but seventh-seeded Fall Creek going on the road to take down second-seeded Saint Mary Catholic was definitely the biggest seed upset in Division 6.
Best Rematch
Speaking of Fall Creek, this is the fourth meeting between the teams in the last 13 months. Regis has won all of them, though all have been competitive, including the Ramblers’ 15-8 win over the Crickets a month ago. Regis limited Fall Creek to just 161 yards of offense in that one.
#1 seed with toughest match-up
Mondovi is the top overall seed in the Division 6 playoffs, and the Buffaloes looked very much like it in a 53-0 domination of Unity in Level 1. Now they get a Potosi/Cassville team that has plenty of postseason experience, so much so that they are elevated to D6 from D7 by the WIAA’s Tournament Performance Factor. The co-op program made it to the state semifinals in D7 last year after a runner-up finish in 2024, and have a strong rushing attack led by senior Hunter White.
Level 2 Most Important Player
Christopher Kenesie does it all for Kenosha St. Joseph. He’s the team’s quarterback, is second in rushing, leads the team in tackling, and has a team-high four interceptions as well. He also has FIVE punt return touchdowns this year, as he’s averaging more than 33 yards per return, and returned a kickoff for a score as well. He’ll need to produce at a high level against Cuba City.

Kenosha St. Joseph over Cuba City

Lomira over Cambridge
