Week 5 Rushing Leaders
Marion/Tigerton has taken a big step forward this season, sitting at 4-1 after a 48-38 win over Newman Catholic last week. The team had 527 yards, all the ground, with junior Braylon Mielke doing the bulk of the damage. he carried it 26 times for 340 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 13.1 yards per carry.

Week 5 Passing Leaders
Whitnall put up a huge offensive performance on Friday night as the Falcons took down Wisconsin Lutheran 48-28 in a key Woodland Conference game. Senior quarterback Tanner Effertz had one of the top stat lines we’ve seen this year, completing 25-of-37 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns, averaging more than 14 yards per completion. He also was the team’s leading rusher, going for 101 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Oh by the way, he also averaged more than 50 yards per punt.

Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
