Bound Wisconsin Basketball Player of the Week - Nov. 24-30

Dominik Baxter, Peshtigo BBB

Peshtigo was able to get in a pair of games at its Bellin Blitz Thanksgiving Classic hosted over the weekend, scoring impressive wins over Coleman 75-40 and Crivitiz 70-41. Baxter scored 18 points in the win over Coleman then poured in 28 points with 11 rebounds in the victory against Crivitz. In the process, Baxter passed 1500 career points for the Bulldogs.

Ryan Brodzik, Palmyra-Eagle BBB

Palmyra-Eagle boys basketball opened the season with a 58-55 victory over Catholic Central, withstanding a 38-point effort from Samuel Fait. Senior Ryan Brodzik had a nice floor game, scoring 12 points with five rebounds and five assists, adding three steals and a block as well. Brodzik gave us the first opening week sparks, when he buried a fade away three-pointer as time expired to give the Panthers the opening night victory.

Jalen Brown, Wauwatosa West BBB

Wauwatosa West is one of the top boys basketball teams in the state, and they made a statement with an opening 85-66 win over Waukesha South last Tuesday. Jalen Brown, one of the top junior players in the country, went off in a big way, scoring 27 points on 10-of-19 shooting, grabbing 17 rebounds with seven assists and six steals.

Autumn Crowe, Saint Mary Catholic GBB

Autumn Crowe is a junior standout for the Saint Mary Catholic girls basketball team, and is off to a great start to the season. In a 65-46 win over Wrightstown last week, Crowe scored 30 points on 12-of-20 shooting, grabbing 23 rebounds, 14 of them on offense. She added eight steals, two assists, and two blocks as well.

Brooklyn Love, Dominican GBB

Dominican scored a pair of victories last week, first defeating Beloit Memorial 74-49, as senior Brooklyn Love scored a team-high 20 points in the win. Against a tough Milton squad at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout, the Knights found themselves trailing by two with just five seconds remaining, needing to go the length of the floor. Love got the inbound and raced upfield, knocking down a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to lift the team to a 56-55 win. She finished with 20 points.
