
The Superior Spartans have been selected as the Week 1 Bound Wisconsin Basketball Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team hit the road and won the Wausau East Thanksgiving Shootout over the weekend. The Spartans were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 1. A total of 1,798 votes were cast, as Superior’s 754 votes edged Regis girls basketball’s 734 votes.
Superior won the Wausau East Thanksgiving Shootout over the weekend. The Spartans defeated D.C. Everest 76-61 on Friday then followed that up with an 80-52 victory against host Wausau East on Saturday. They’ll face Grand Rapids (MN) and Chippewa Falls in home games this week.

A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
