The Northwestern Tigers have been selected as the Week 2 Bound Wisconsin Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team scored an impressive opening win over Prescott to get the season started right. The Tigers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 1. A total of 1,880 votes were cast, as Northwestern's 499 votes edged Mosinee’s 468 votes.

Northwestern did Northwestern things in Week 1, rolling over Prescott 40-7 behind 485 rushing yards distributed across several backs. Tysen Teal has 170 yards and two scores, Ethan Harms added 130 and a touchdown, and Bryer Burkhart chipped in with 85 yards and a touchdown in the opening victory.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Bound Wisconsin Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 2 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
