Amare Hereford of Beloit Memorial has been selected as the Week 10 Bound Wisconsin Basketball Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. He had a huge game last week, reaching a significant milestone while leading his team to a pair of big wins. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 10. A total of 3,048 votes were cast, as Hereford’s 1,302 were enough to edge out second place Kinley Peterson of Fox Valley Lutheran, who tallied 824 votes.

Amare Hereford continued his huge senior season for the Purple Knights. In an 88-79 win over Hononegah (IL) he had 36 points with 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. In an 89-80 win over Badger, he erupted for 44 points, eclipsing the 2000-point mark for his career. He added seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals as well.
