Bode Falkner of Mondovi has been selected as the Week 3 Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. His big day helped the Buffaloes score a narrow victory over Fall Creek to start the conference season. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 3. A total of 4,601 votes were cast, as Falkner’s 1,513 were enough to edge out second place Gabe Heiges of Fox Valley Lutheran, who tallied 1,416 votes.

Mondovi was in a dogfight on Friday night in the Cloverbelt Conference opener against Fall Creek. The game was tight throughout, but the Buffaloes would score a 34-26 victory behind a strong performance from sophomore Bode Falkner. He completed 9-of-14 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown, ran 19 times for 185 yards and three scores, had five tackles on defense, and recovered a fumble.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 4 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
