It is time to take a look at this week’s Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports Boys Basketball Media Poll. Voting is conducted by a panel of statewide media members.

Division 1

Wisconsin Lutheran sits atop this week’s Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports Boys Basketball Media Poll as a unanimous selection, coming off a big win over D2 number one Slinger. West Allis Central remains in second, with Appleton North, Arrowhead, and Brookfield East rounding out the top five. All of the teams ranked this week are undefeated, including newcomers to the rankings Sheboygan North and Superior. Germantown and Homestead drop out this week.

Division 2

Slinger dropped a marquee game to Wisconsin Lutheran last week, but the Owls manage to maintain the top spot in the Bound Wisconsin/Zaleski Sports Media Poll this week. Mount Horeb also suffered a loss, in overtime to Sauk Prairie, and the Vikings slide to fourth, with Sauk Prairie entering the rankings at number nine. Onalaska is up to second, followed by Wauwatosa West. Whitefish Bay falls out of the poll this week.

Division 3

Racine St. Catherine’s solidified its spot as the number one team in Division 3 with a win over crosstown rival Racine Lutheran, who had been second but dips to third this week. Prescott moves into the poll as Xavier drops out of the rankings.

Division 4

Darlington has a tenuous hold on the top of the Division 4 rankings, with Lomira and Roncalli very close behind. Marathon moves up three spots to sixth after a hard-earned victory against Prentice. Fall Creek falls out, while Kewaunee enters for the first time at number 10.

Division 5

Columbus Catholic remains the top-ranked team in the Division 5 media poll this week, with North Crawford again number two. There’s some minor shuffling in the rest of the top five, with Sheboygan Lutheran up to third, followed by Kickapoo and Oakfield. Losses by Cochrane-Fountain City and Southwestern cause those teams to drop out of the rankings, while Belmont and Reedsville enter.
