Eric Cumber of Ripon has been selected as the Week 4 Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. His big day helped the Tigers take down Wisconsin Dells in a South Central Conference game. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 4. A total of 2,463 votes were cast, as Cumber’s 821 were enough to edge out second place Beau Veit of Waterford, who tallied 653 votes.
Ripon is making headway in Andrew Selgrad’s second year at the helm, and the Tigers beat Wisconsin Dells 42-34 on Friday night behind 336 yards and four touchdown on 38 carries by senior running back Eric Cumber, who leads the state in rushing this season with 1,062 yards in four games.
Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
