BOUND WISCONSIN WEEK 4 FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
Sam Aparicio, Madison Memorial
Aparicio has been an outstanding receiver for the Spartans this year, but the team needed something else out of him last Thursday. In a competitive 44-27 win over Janesville Craig that saw Memorial trailing 14-0 early, Aparicio moved over and played wildcat quarterback, rushing for 186 yards and five touchdowns on 25 carries, also completing seven-of-nine passes for 124 yards. He also made a pair of extra points.
Damian Bartolotta, Oconomowoc
Oconomowoc rebounded from a Week 3 loss to Hamilton with a 29-13 win over Brookfield Central on Friday night. The Raccoons rolled up nearly 300 yards on the ground, led by junior Damian Bartolotta, who carried the rock 24 times for 244 yards and two touchdowns.
Brock Hiley, Beaver Dam
Beaver Dam moved over to the Badger-Small this year, and the Golden Beavers made a statement Friday night with a dominating 41-13 win over one of last year’s co-champs, Mount Horeb/Barneveld. Senior running back Brock Hiley ran for 214 yards and four touchdowns on 24 carries, adding a pair of catches for a team-high 42 receiving yards as well. He also had 48 kick return yards and had a pair of tackles on defense.
Kiya Sullivan, Port Washington
Port Washington’s impressive start to the season continues, as the Pirates remained unbeaten with a 29-7 win over Kewaskum in a Glacier Trails showdown. Senior Kiya Sullivan was all over the field for the Pirates. he caught five passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns, averaging more than 41 yards per catch. He also recovered a fumble, one of which he returned for an 86-yard touchdown, recorded an interception, and converted a two-point play.
Keaton Wollan, Amery
Badger football commit Keaton Wollan had a huge game Friday night as the Warriors defeated Somerset 47-22 in Middle Border Conference play. Wollan rushed for 305 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries, and was all over the place on defense with a team-high 14 tackles, 12 of them solo.
Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
