Catherine Williams of Saint Croix Falls has been selected as the Week 5 Bound Wisconsin Basketball Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. She helped the Saints to a nice victory last week with an excellent all-around game. She was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 1,532 votes were cast, as Williams’ 626 were enough to edge out second place Riley Podevels of Abbotsford, who tallied 540 votes.
Saint Croix Falls girls basketball took on Osceola last week for a non-conference game, and the Saints came away with a 54-45 victory. Junior Catherine Williams erupted for 30 points in the victory, adding five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
