The Muskego Warriors have been selected as the Week 5 Bound Wisconsin Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team took down previously undefeated and top-ranked Arrowhead to stay atop the Classic Eight. The Warriors were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 4,393 votes were cast, as Muskego’s 1,561 votes edged Pewaukee’s 1,298 votes.
Arrowhead had gone 4-0 against a brutally tough early schedule, but couldn’t quite keep things going as the top-ranked Warhawks came up short against eighth-ranked Muskego in a hard-fought 21-17 decision. Caleb Hein helped seal the deal with an interception in the red zone late in the ballgame. Jackson Niemiec and Bryson Hoeffler combined for 210 yards on the ground for the Warriors, who are now tied with Mukwonago atop the Classic Eight Conference.
Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Bound Wisconsin Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
