Daschel Stallings of Elkhorn has been selected as the Week 6 Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. His big day helped the Elks score a key win in the Southern Lakes Conference. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 6. A total of 3,615 votes were cast, as Stallings’ 912 were enough to edge out second place Eli Maier of Mount Horeb/Barneveld, who tallied 696 votes.
Elkhorn took down Waterford 43-35 on Friday behind 409 rushing yards in the team’s Wing-T offense. Junior Daschel Stallings went for 180 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, adding a pair of receptions for 75 yards and two more scores. He also had 40 return yards for the Elks.
