Updated UNOFFICIAL Wisconsin Football Playoff Matrix rankings have been posted, and it’s time to take a look at some of the noteworthy changes and movement after last week’s results.
The unofficial results are courtesy of andylavoy.com/football, and the full point totals and rankings for all divisions can be found there. Official point totals are kept by the WIAA.
For more information on the Wisconsin Football Playoff Matrix, including how point totals are determined, please click here. As a reminder, 32 teams in each division qualify for the playoffs, with the top four in each division receiving a one-seed, the next four receiving a two-seed, and so on.
Remember, there are thousands of games remaining on the schedule this year, with lots of changes ahead in the order, and things will smooth out the more results that are in the system.
DIVISION 1
West De Pere remains the top team in Division 1, with a comfortable lead over Bay Port, who is second overall. Hamilton is second, with Muskego fourth and the final number one seed. Defending state champion Arrowhead is fifth and a two-seed.Appleton West would be the final qualifier as of today, while powerhouse Kimberly would be out of the playoffs.
DIVISION 2
Some minor shuffling in the top four spots of Division 2, but the four one-seeds remain the same as last week: New Richmond, Holmen, Union Grove, and Monona Grove. Racine Horlick would be the final qualifier in Division 2 as of today.
DIVISION 3
New Berlin Eisenhower moves into a number one seed this week, joining Pewaukee, Port Washington, and New Berlin West. Despite a 2-4 record, Catholic Memorial remains a qualifier as a six-seed. Sparta would be the final qualifier.
DIVISION 4
Freedom remains the top seed after a big win over Little Chute, with West Salem and Lake Mills moving into number one seeds as well, joined by Stratford. Wrightstown is the final qualifier as of today.
DIVISION 5
Racine Lutheran moves to the top overall seed in Division 5, followed by Durand-Arkansaw, Darlington, and New Glarus as the other number one seeds. Unbeaten Amherst is the leading number two seed as of today. Columbus and Wautoma, at 1-5 overall, would be in the playoffs, while Northland Pines is first out.
DIVISION 6
Edgar and Cedar Grove-Belgium move into number one seed positions this week, joining Bonduel and Manitowoc Lutheran. Of note, unbeaten Pardeeville is a four-seed due to a rather weak overall schedule. Colby would be the final qualifier this week.
DIVISION 7
With the forfeit loss to Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca wiped off the record and a win in Week 6 over Cashton, Ithaca/Weston becomes the top overall seed in Division 7, followed by Shiocton, Glenwood City, and River Ridge. Johnson Creek would be the final qualifier.
8-Player
A win over Assumption jumps Gilman from the number eight overall team to the top spot this week, with the other number one seeds being Wabeno/Laona, Valley Christian, and Belmont. Three Lakes/Phelpswould be the final qualifier this week.

Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
