The Cudahy boys basketball team has been selected as the Week 7 Bound Wisconsin Basketball Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team got a pair of wins last week, including a streak buster. The Packers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 7. A total of 1,961 votes were cast, as Cudahy’s 950 votes edged Port Washington boys basketball’s 659 votes.
The Cudahy boys basketball team won its first conference game in more than 1000 days, defeating rival South Milwaukee 65-64 on Friday night. Senior Anthony Brooks led the Packers with 29 points. Brooks had a huge performance earlier in the week as well when Cudahy defeated Random Lake 110-78, pouring in 54 points with nine steals, six rebounds, and five assists, making 22-of-30 shots from the field.
Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Bound Wisconsin Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
