Division 1
Once again, a good amount of stability in the top half of the Division 1 Bound Wisconsin Coaches Poll, where Franklin continues to hold down the top spot, followed by Badger, Muskego, Arrowhead, and Waunakee. Neenah’s 7-0 win over Kimberly helped the Rockets jump up to sixth while Kimberly drops to ninth.
Division 2
Notre Dame remains the top-ranked team in Division 2, after moving up from last year’s Division 3 state championship. West De Pere is second, with Homestead bumping to third and Holmen fourth. River Falls scored a 40-28 win over Rice Lake, and the Wildcats make a big move from tenth to fifth, while Rice Lake drops six spots to ninth.
Division 3
No changes in the top eight of the D3 Coaches Poll this week, as Catholic Memorial holds a sizable lead in the voting, capturing all but one first place vote. Grafton is second, followed by Plymouth, Mount Horeb/Barneveld, and Edgewood in the top five. Losses by Pewaukee and Reedsburg drop them out, with Mississippi Valley Conference teams La Crosse Logan and Onalaska moving back into the poll.
Division 4
Aquinas continues to hold the top spot in the Division 4 Coaches Poll on BoundWisconsin.com, with the Blugolds followed closely by fellow undefeated teams Winneconne and Baldwin-Woodville. Columbus is fourth, with Racine St. Catherine’s rounding out the top five once again. In the bottom half of the poll, losses from Evansville, Lodi, and Lake Mills have those teams out, as Freedom, Seymour, and Berlin move in the last few spots of the top ten.
Division 5
Northwestern sits atop the Division 5 Coaches Poll once again this week, with some shuffling in the top five that has Amherst second followed by Mayville, Grantsburg, and Stratford. New Glarus lost its first game of the year against Prairie du Chien and drops from fifth to ninth.
Division 6
It is Edgar on top of the Division 6 rankings once again, with Regis staying at number two after a thrilling Hail Mary win over Mondovi, who drops one spot to fifth behind Manitowoc Lutheran. There were no other losses or changes in the top ten from last week.
Division 7
Another division with few changes in the top, as Kenosha St. Joseph is the leader of a top five that remains unchanged. Further down the poll, Wauzeka-Steuben/Seneca dropped another close game, this time to second-ranked Potosi/Cassville, and the co-op program drops out of the poll this week, replaced by Roncalli.
8-Player
There weren’t many changes for 8-player this week, where Gilman is the top-ranked team, followed by Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas, McDonell Central, North Crawford, and Shell Lake in the top five. The only change is in the number ten spot, where Athens drops out after a loss to Phillips, allowing Oakfield to re-enter the rankings.
