Joe Jensen of Baldwin-Woodville has been selected as the Week 8 Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. His big day helped the Blackhawks remain undefeated and atop the Middle Border Conference. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 8. A total of 2,970 votes were cast, as Jensen’s 1,208 were enough to edge out second place Brooks Vanderhoof of Stratford, who tallied 686 votes.

Baldwin-Woodville wrapped up at least a share of the Middle Border Conference championship with a dominating 49-21 win over Osceola, who entered Friday night 5-0 in the league as well. Joe Jensen completed 15-of-19 passes for 261 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. He added 41 rushing yards on six carries.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
